I was having a very difficult time upgrading my blackberry to OS 5.0. I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong, and my blackberry (bold 9000) would constantly reset when the applications were being loaded onto the device.
I finally found the simple solution — make sure your media card is out before you upgrade. After I did that, I had no problems with the installation.
We took possession of our new place on Friday, and promptly started to tear our everything that we’ll be replacing — a big thanks for everyone that helped us out! All we have left to do is clean up a bit and take down some wallpaper.
Home sales in Canada plunged 14% in October to their lowest levels since 2002. Prices are down about 10% from last year. You can read the whole story here.Â
I certainly can relate to the story — we’ve only had 3 viewings of our townhouse since we listed it about a month ago. Things are certainly slow! We bought in May of 2007 — back then things were selling like crazy. When we were looking for a place there was hardly anything at all available. Now there are thousands of properties available in Calgary.
On a good note, if our place in Calgary sells, there are a ton of affordable, attractive properties in Edmonton that we are looking at, and they seem to be dropping in price and not selling, as well. So hopefully our place will sell and we will be able to scoop one of those properties up before prices start to rise again!
Amanda now has a job locked up in Edmonton, and she’ll be starting on November 24th. I’m starting on November 17th. We’re still trying to sell our townhouse (asking $319,000, city assessment $363,000), so if you’re interested in taking a look at it, send me an email!
$1.17CDN to buy a USD. That’s a 30% slide since it hit it’s peak when you could get $1.10USD for a Canadian dollar back in October/November 2007. Will we see rates back when they were in the early 2000’s? I guess only time will tell….I certainly hope not!
